Advent Calendar - day 24

Christmas Eve is here. I celebrated with my father, brother and niece. It was a quiet Christmas. As usual we started with Disney favourites and a visit to Santa Claus Workshop. It is a tradition in Sweden since 1960. Then it was time for our traditional julbord (Christmas table) with special food. It was a small buffet this year, but all the favourites were there. Afterwards, we enjoyed a few Christmas presents. I got three books, all Swedish.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

My husband's people are Norwegian and Swedish. I should research a julbord (Christmas table). That sounds lovely.

At least in Sweden we are very fuzzy with our Christmas table. These days, I think most families try to limit the number of food on the table. However, some of it we only eat at this time, so taste especially good. How nice to hear that your husband has ancestors from Scandinavia. Many people did emigrate at the end of the 19th century, due to very bad times here.

You are right, quiet is great. New Year's Eve will be rather quiet as well. Dinner with friends at home. Hope you have a nice entry into the new year.
